Level 2 Diploma in Horse Care
The experience, skills, knowledge and understanding of horses that you will gain from this course will be useful, whether you decide to enter the equine industry directly or go into some of the related businesses such as sales, advisory, technical or consultancy work. The course combines academic lectures and demonstrations with practical instruction, industrial visits and work experience. It is suitable for learners with little or no previous experience.
We aim to provide the best possible vocational experience for our equine learners. All full- time learners participate in yard duties throughout the year alongside their main programme of study. A rota is put in place and it will include some weekends. We do provide collection and drop-off facilities at weekends at Hereford bus/ train station but learners will be responsible for arranging their own transport provision to and from Hereford at weekends.
The Level 2 Diploma is equivalent to four GCSEs grades A* - C.
