Course Content

Motor vehiclesTo utilise a range of practical tasks that will:

  • Develop personal and inter-personal skills to enable the candidate to enhance their quality of life and behaviour within socially accepted norms
  • Develop an awareness of the need to operate safely in a particular environment
  • Provide opportunities for experiential learning
  • Provide a basic understanding of industrial practice through performing routine tasks
  • Provide motivation, recognition of progress and achievement through a programme of structured assessment
  • Develop mental and physical co-ordination, dexterity, mobility and build confidence
  • Provide progression opportunities into further learning, training and preparation for employment
  • Assess candidates in personal and work-related skills which will assist in opportunities for employment.

Assessment Methods

Assessment for this qualification involves observation of practical tasks being performed and questions being asked to assess knowledge. Candidates produce a portfolio of evidence with assistance of the assessor. This is not assessed but is evidence of skills learnt.
