Course Content
To utilise a range of practical tasks that will:
- Develop an awareness of the need to operate safely in a particular environment
- Provide opportunities for hands-on working with both small animals and agricultural animals
- Provide a basic understanding of industrial practice through performing routine tasks in a working environment
- Provide motivation, recognition of progress and achievement through a programme of structured assessment and portfolio development
- Provide progression opportunities into further learning, training and preparation for Employment
- provide work experience opportunities through support networks or approved employers
- enrichment opportunities including sports, music, drama, cultural and overseas residential opportunity.
- specialist skills for life teaching in literacy, numeracy and computing
Assessment Methods
Assessment for this qualification involves observation of practical tasks being performed and questions being asked to assess knowledge. Candidates produce a portfolio of evidence with assistance of the assessor.
