CMI Diploma in First Line Management - Level 3
Course Content
A course that gives you the knowledge and skills to be an effective manager or supervisor. To have these transferable skills in the labour market of today is essential. This course provides a balance between the need of the manager or supervisor and the organisation by offering a structured and tailored approach to your professional development plus gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Course Outline
The programme consists of 7 modules:
The Certificate -
- Unit 3017 – An introduction to First Line Management
- Unit 3001 –Personal Development as a first line manager
- Unit 3008 – Improving team performance
The remaining Diploma units -
- Unit 3002 –Resource Planning
- Unit 3003 –Meeting stakeholder needs
- Unit 3004 - Managing and communicating information
- Unit 3005– Developing individuals and teams
Entry Requirements
Prospective candidates will be interviewed prior to registration to ensure suitability both to the candidate and the awarding body.
Attendance
The programme runs in 2 parts – the certificate for 10 weeks and then the remaining units for a further 10 weeks
Attendance is usually on Wednesdays 6.00pm – 9.00pm.
Assessment Methods
Assessment will be a mixture of practical classroom activities and presentations and written assignments.
Progression Route
Higher level management courses such as the Management and Leadership Diploma (Level 5) or management NVQ’s.
