Introduction to Carpentry
Course Content
This course aims to provide you with the experienced methods employed in basic carpentry such as:
- Tools and their usage
- Basic joints
- Fitting and fixing mouldings and hinges and hinging techniques.
- Locks, latches and letter plates
- Fitting door handles, window furniture and security devices.
- Scribing to irregular surfaces
- Repairing rotten or damaged timber components
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements although an interest or a project in mind for you to use your new found skills would be required to get the most from this hands-on course
Materials
- Protective clothing and footwear
- Equipment will be provided
