Introduction to Digital Imaging
Course Content
This short course is designed to introduce you to the basic skills needed to begin the journey into using a digital camera, downloading images, editing and printing.
- Functions of a digital camera
- Memory cards (different types) and card readers etc
- Connecting to a computer
- Transferring images and burning to a CD
- Using basic image editing software
- Printing
- Scanning and repairing old photos
- Using different types of software (i.e. Paint Shop Pro)
- Creating multiple layer images
Entry Requirements
No previous experience is required although you will have a keen interest in photography and want to make the most from your digital photographs, whether through printing out a family album or safely storing away precious memories on a CD.
Also, you will be a beginner or above in use of a computer to join this course
Materials
- A notepad and pen, digital camera if you have one
- Leads to connect camera to computer
- Old photo’s for scanning and repairing
