Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
Course Overview
The V1 award for Internal Verifiers has been revised and re-written by Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) and there are now three new qualifications for Internal Verifiers and Quality Assurance Staff. Herefordshire College of Technology (HCT) is offering the award qualification as above.
Course Content
The Award is introduced over a series of 2 half- day workshops followed by one- to- one tutorials and self-directed study. It prepares Verifiers to meet the requirements of the qualification. These sessions will help individuals to develop and demonstrate competence in co-ordinating the assessment process alongside assuring the quality of assessment. It prepares a Verifier to develop their knowledge and skills in order that they may provide effective Internal Quality Assurance.
Entry Requirements
For the Award, you will need to be vocationally competent in the occupational area you wish to internally quality assure. You must also have access to at least two assessors who are working with a minimum of two candidates each.
Attendance
A sequence of training days and tutorials is run throughout the year, either at (HCT) or in the workplace.
Assessment Methods
You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence comprising work products and evidence of underpinning knowledge and skills. At some stage you will be required to be observed in the work environment working with assessors.
