HSE inspectors are increasingly recommending to employers that ATV operators are adequately trained before using ATVs and are asking for evidence of training during inspection visits. This course covers the maintenance, safe driving techniques and conditions of ATV (quad bikes).

Course Content

  • Machinery design
  • Instruments and controls
  • Risk Assessment
  • Daily maintenance
  • Basic driving techniques
  • Driving techniques on slopes and awkward terrain
  • Safety with trailed and mounted equipment

Assessment

Following the course you will be assessed for the NPTC Certificate of Competence in the Safe Use of ATVs.  Tests take place on a separate day and dates can be booked during the training course.
