Agriculture & Smallholders
Without agriculture, you wouldn't have the wool for your jumper, the leather for your shoes - or even the burger and fries you had for lunch! Agriculture is a more challenging subject than many might realise. People within this enormous industry work together to make sure our food, fibres, energy and recreational opportunities are cost effective, high quality and safe. This means taking into account everything from animal welfare to environmental and socio-economic needs and the demands are always changing! There is a real need for people to reshape the industry and lead it into the twenty-first century.
