This two day course is for those operators undertaking ground maintenance including local authority, private, volunteers, schools, sports grounds and looking to be qualified in the use of a Strimmer or Brushcutter. Candidates must be 16 years and over.
Course Content
- Maintenance – engine drive systems and gear leads
- Selection and maintenance of cutting heads – nylon/steel
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Safe working practice
- Risk assessment for differing sites
- Fuel mixing
- Legislation
Assessment/Progression
This is a Lantra registered Integrated Training and Assessment course and as such candidates have on-going assessment during the training course. On successful completion of the course students will be awarded a Lantra certificate.
