Course Content
This course is designed for people who own a chainsaw or are thinking about purchasing a chainsaw and would like to know the basics about maintenance and operation. You will cover:
- Day 1: Maintaining your chainsaw (including sharpening and chain identification)
- Day 2: Safety clothing and risk assessments, Starting and operating your saw safely
- Day 3: (optional) Basic felling techniques for small trees and coppice
Entry Requirements
No previous experience is required
Materials
- Pen and paper
- Chainsaw if you own one
- Protective equipment if you own it
- All of the above can be provided if necessary
