Learn Polish - Taster
Course Content
This introductory course is designed for the complete beginner who wishes to obtain basic skills in Polish and to experience learning a new language. The emphasis is on the spoken language and on developing sufficient skills to be able to get by in simple everyday situations, such as:
- Buying drinks and food in a café/restaurant
- Greetings and formalities
- Shopping for food and clothes, etc.
- Travelling around
- Booking accommodation
- Using the telephone
- General conversation: weather, family, surroundings
Simple grammar and vocabulary will be acquired and the course will include a limited focus on listening and reading skills. A recommended course book will be used as a background to the course and optional homework will be set after each class.
Entry Requirements
This course is for people who have very little or no previous knowledge of the chosen language. No formal entry requirements are required.
