Introduction to Digital Imaging

Course Content

  • This short course is designed to introduce you to the basic skills needed to begin the journey into using a digital camera, downloading images, editing and printing.
  • Functions of a digital camera
  • Memory cards (different types) and card readers etc
  • Connecting to a computer
  • Transferring images and burning to a CD
  • Using basic image editing software
  • Printing
  • Scanning and repairing old photos
  • Using different types of software (i.e. Paint Shop Pro)
  • Creating multiple layer images

Entry Requirements

Previous computer experience is preferred. You should not be a beginner with computers to attend this course.
