Course Content

This course is designed for drivers and non-drivers over 16 years of age who want to learn how to drive a tractor. The course will cover the use of a selection of tractors available at the College.

  • Tractor safety
  • Controls and pre-start checks
  • Forward and reverse manoeuvres
  • Trailer hitching
  • Three point linkage
  • Power Take Off

Entry Requirements

No previous experience is required

Materials

The following equipment can be borrowed from the College or you can bring your own

  • Suitable 'non-snag' outdoor clothing
  • Pen and paper
  • Steel toe-capped boots
