Taylor Lane wins Employer Award
Taylor Lane, Timber Frame Ltd, based at Rotherwas Trading Estate, Hereford, not only have a good reputation in the business of building houses but are helping to build successful careers and futures for their young employees. They have been recognised officially by the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire Training Providers at a Celebration of Learning Achievement Awards Ceremony by winning the Employer Award for Herefordshire. The ceremony was held at Worcester Rugby Club and the guest speaker was Ben Fogle, travel writer, presenter and adventurer.
Taylor Lane in conjunction with Herefordshire College of Technology’s Training Division, is part of the very successful and expanding apprenticeships scheme running across the county. Chris Higgins, Work Based Learning manager of Herefordshire College of Technology, Training Division said “We are enormously proud that Taylor Lane has been recognised with this prestigious award. It is a testimony to the support that the employer and HCT give to their apprentices. Apprentices work in a wide variety of professions including Accountancy, Carpentry and Joinery, Business Administration and Welding. HCT enjoys working in partnership with the employer to ensure good quality training for these young people”.
