HCT blacksmiths excel at Yorkshire Show
This year's Great Yorkshire Show was a huge success for HCT blacksmithing students Joe Knight and Ashley Lane. Joe who is a BA Hons in Artist Blacksmithing student (course run jointly with Hereford College of Art) and Ashley, a 2nd year BTEC National Diploma in Blacksmithing and Metal Working student, took lst and 3rd places respectively in the Contemporary class for sculptures valued over £150. Joe from Hertfordshire, was also awarded reserve champion over the whole show. Ashley, from New Zealand, has recently been chosen for “the student making the best progress in year” award at HCT.
