Sponsored Dog Wash - Great Success!
Herefordshire College of Technology students have been busy fund raising for Children in Need. With various activities from face painting to raffles and sponsored dog washing!
Over the past two weeks Animal Care students at HCT’s Holme Lacy campus have given approximately 50 lucky pooches the full beauty treatment. Dogs are bathed, dried, groomed and receive lots of love and cuddles! Whilst raising money for a very good cause and providing an excellent service for many dog owners.
Lisa Parks, course tutor commented “this is the perfect opportunity for students to develop their dog handling, grooming abilities and team working skills and be able to raise money for a very good cause at the same time”.
This was the fourteenth year that the sponsored dog wash has taken place and each year student’s raise around £300. The dog wash has become renowned in the area and many owners call in advance to book their pets in for a
pre-Christmas spruce up.
