Faculty of Technology Awards

Clive Richards presents Vikki Cooper with the Outstanding Achievement AwardOver 200 people turned up to Herefordshire College of Technology’s Event Suite on Thursday 2nd July for the Faculty of Technology awards evening. The evening is held to celebrate the success of outstanding students on the Engineering, Construction and New Entrant Training Scheme Furniture Making and Wood Machining courses, with awards presented for Outstanding Achievements and Best Progress, across the subject areas. 

Various companies sponsored awards including Hereford Industrial Supply Co, Hereford Group Training Association (HGTA), Border Office Supplies, Construction Consumables, Sigma Kaylon, LG Harris & Co Ltd and Tec-Stop. 

Special Awards were presented as follows:
Vikki Cooper received the Outstanding Achievement Award (Construction) Shield.
Daniel Marongiu received the Outstanding Achievement Award (Engineering) Shield. The Paul Boots Endeavour Award went to Luke Stiley and the Peter Wareham Furniture Trophy went to James Gibson.

Many of the students receiving awards were apprentices through managing agencies such as HCT Training Division and Hereford Group Training Association (HGTA).

Mr Clive Richards OBE DL kindly attended as guest speaker for the event and gave a light hearted and entertaining speech, whilst emphasising the importance of keeping aspirations high and putting in the work to get a good career.
