HCT Link Governor - Ms Liz Patrick presenrs the certificatesOn Tuesday 7th July, just fewer than 200 people gathered at Herefordshire College of Technology’s Holme Lacy campus to celebrate the achievements of learners with learning difficulties, disabilities and special educational needs.

Students receive certificates on the evening in acknowledgment of their hard work throughout the year and to highlight their successes with gaining nationally recognised qualifications.

The evening is met with enthusiasm and pride as family and friends share this important occasion.

Ms Liz Patrick, Link Governor for HCT, kindly gave up her time as Guest of Honor for the evening and presented the students with their certificates and awards.

Congratulations to all, but a special congratulations goes out to Andrew Kerr, who was presented with the ‘Student of the Year’ trophy and Andrew Ellard, who was presented with the ‘Adult Learner of the Year’ trophy. Adam Small and Becky Martin each received runner up ‘Student of the Year’ certificates.

The College offers a wide range of entry level life skills and vocational courses - enabling learners to gain greater independence in adult life, to progress to a higher level qualification and/or prepare them for the world of work.
