Herefordshire College of Technology’s Equestrian Centre gets accolade from the British Horse Society (BHS).

Cross country course at Holme LacyHCT’s Equestrian Centre, at the Holme Lacy campus, is part of the British Horse Society Approval Scheme. Every two years establishments have the opportunity to be ‘where to train’ inspected by one of the BHS’s highest qualified examiners. The examiner gives a grade that indicates the level of training the establishment can deliver to its students. With highly qualified and experienced staff and new cross country facilities, in turn providing a higher level of training for the Centre’s horses, the Equestrian Centre can now prepare students for exams up to and including the British Horse Society Assistant Instructor level.

This superb rating gives a clear benchmark of the high standards of training students can expect to receive at the Centre.

Sonya De Wilde, Yard Manager commented “Our National Diploma in Horse Management and NVQ in Horse Care students rose to the challenge and had the horses and yard looking spotless. Those that rode were enthusiastic and interactive making teaching them a pleasure. We are very pleased with the outcome of the inspection.”
