HCT Students Raise £200 for 'Concern Universal'
Each year conscientious students on Herefordshire College of Technology’s Childcare and Education Level 2 course, raise funds for a worthy cause. This year the students chose Concern Universal as the charity they wanted to support. Dressed in Concern Universal t-shirts and armed with collection buckets, the students set off to High Town in Hereford for a fun-filled day of fundraising.
Concern Universal is a local Herefordshire charity and has been working for over 30 years to help people in some of the poorest countries, throughout the world. Working within local communities in Africa, India, Bangladesh and Brazil, the charity’s good work helps to improve education, medical facilities and increase job prospects. Last year, Concern Universal’s work benefited approximately 1.5 million people internationally.
With support from the staff and students at HCT, and the general public, the students were delighted to raise approximately £200 for this Hereford based charity.
