HCT Supporting 'Children in Need'
Herefordshire College of Technology students have been busy fund raising for Children in Need. With various activities taking place, the children in the HCT nursery made cakes for sale to college staff, LLDD students held a coffee morning with lots of fab fundraising activities, including; name the teddy, guess the number of sweets and lots of homemade cakes for sale.
Holme Lacy campus staff and students organised the 15th annual sponsored dog wash! Lucky pooches were bathed, dried, groomed and given lots of love and cuddles! whilst raising money for a very good cause and providing an excellent service for many dog owners.
Lisa Parks, course tutor commented “this is the perfect opportunity for students to develop their dog handling, grooming abilities and team working skills and be able to raise money for a very good cause at the same time”. The dog wash has become renowned in the area and many owners call in advance to book their pets in for a pre-Christmas spruce up.
