Anyone for Pumpkin?
When Hospitality and Catering tutor Rod Dawson visited his local fruit and produce show in Tarrington, a special item caught his eye. A generously proportioned pumpkin was available for purchase and Rod saw a fantastic fundraising opportunity.
NVQ level 1 Hospitality and Catering students will be preparing the super-sized squash, and are hoping to make 50 portions of pumpkin soup and 40 portions of John Tylers pumpkin pie.
These Autumn specialities will be on offer in the College’s Cider Orchard Restaurant during the week leading up to Halloween and all proceeds from the sale will go to St Michaels Hospice.
