Charity Show Jumping Competition at Holme Lacy
The Equestrian Centre, based at the Holme Lacy campus, hosted a very successful Show Jumping competition on Sunday 21st June whereby all proceeds went to charity. Competitors were also invited to trial the new cross country course, consisting of around 40 fences and suitable for riders and horses of varying abilities.
Sonya De Wilde, Yard Manager tells all:
"The Show Jumping competition went very well, we had lots of entries and the riders were very happy with our course. We were also pleased to receive comments about our friendly and supportive attitude, particularly from the younger, less experienced riders. Many hoped we were planning more competitions in the future!
The new cross country course was also popular, with riders of all abilities enjoying what the course has to offer.
The day was a great learning experience for our students, who helped to get the cross country and show jumping courses ready and run the competition.
We raised over £260 for Birmingham Children's Hospital - so a big thank you to all those who attended and helped us on the day."
