Young Swimming Star Helped by Sports Therapy Student
Young swimming star, 11 year old Aidan Berry from Hereford, will be given an amazing opportunity to train with a GB squad coach after winning a bronze medal at the Midland District, Regional Competitions held in Coventry this June.
Both Aidan and his mum, Steph Berry, put his competitive edge down to several sports therapy massages that Aidan received from Sports Massage Therapist, Lucy Maxwell. Lucy, who is studying Sports Therapy Massage at Herefordshire College of Technology was more than pleased to be of assistance when Aidan’s mum contacted her to see if the specialist therapy would help Aidan with his swimming.
Putting in some incredible times and winning a bronze medal, the determined youngster commented that he felt so much better as a result of the treatments he had received from Lucy.
Stephanie Berry, Aidan’s mum stated “We are so grateful to Lucy for everything she has done for us; Aidan has performed so much better as result of the treatments he has been receiving at the College. Following a recent injury to his shoulder, Aidan has had to have some physiotherapy. The treatment he is receiving from the Physiotherapist is exactly the same as the treatment he received from Lucy.”
Lucy commented “I feel honoured to have been able to help Aidan and am really excited that he will get the chance to take a step further towards achieving his dream of becoming a world class champion swimmer”.
