Faculty of Community Studies Awards
Just fewer than 200 people turned up to Herefordshire College of Technology’s Event Suite on Monday 5th July for the Faculty of Community Studies awards evening. The evening is held to celebrate the success of outstanding students on courses including; Access to HE, Accounting, Beauty Therapy, Business, Catering, Child care, Health and Social Care, Hairdressing, Management, Personnel Practice, Public Services, Supporting Teaching and Learning and Travel and Tourism.
Rebecca White (pictured), Marketing and Communications Manager of allpay, gave a superb inspiring speech as Guest of Honour for the evening and presented awards for ‘Top Student’, ‘Top Practical Student’ and ‘Progression Award’, across the subject areas.
Rebecca has had close contact with the College for a number of years, particularly the Faculty of Community Studies, and many thanks go out to her for giving up her time and sharing this evening with us.
Well done and congratulations to all, especially Dan Cooper (pictured), an Advanced Business, Administration and Finance student, who was presented with the Anthony Barrington Cup. This cup was kindly donated to the Business Department by Mr and Mrs Barrington and is awarded for the student who has shown the highest level of dedication to the course and has studied consistently throughout the year.
