Health and Social Care Foundation Degree Research Conference 2011
HCT’s Health and Social Care students hosted a conference this week at the Hereford Campus as part of their research module for their Foundation Degree. The event gave them the opportunity to present their research, which they have collected over the past year, to local industry professionals from the Wye Valley NHS Trust, their mentors and peers.
College Principal, Ian Peake, opened the event with a speech regarding the importance of the NHS and the committed work carried out by its professionals, before staying to enjoy some of the varied research findings. Despite the event being a daunting prospect for some students, course tutor Fiona Price was keen to outline the success of the event, “This was the culmination of a year's hard work and perseverance. I’m delighted with how the students have responded to the challenges of this event and have produced such interesting and engaging work.”
